Juan Carlos has been engaged in international corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and natural resources practice for more than 25 years. Juan Carlos is the founding member of Grosso & Co, a business law firm located in Buenos Aires, Argentina and working throughout Latin America. He is highly regarded for his expertise and experience in international business law and in the mining industry where he is recognised as a leading legal advisor to companies wishing to do business in Latin America. His extensive experience includes advising on all aspects of the development and financing of mining and other natural resource projects in emerging markets. Juan Carlos has been listed as part of a select group of top lawyers approved and recommended by the Canadian and US Embassy in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Since 2003, Juan Carlos is the legal representative of Northstar Trade Finance, an entity supervised by Export Development Canada (EDC).

In addition, he regularly advises major international mining companies, international financial institutions and governments in numerous countries around the world. He has experience in Argentina and Canada and has acted on a wide range of corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, equity financings and corporate reorganisation involving both private and public companies listed on the TSX and the NYSE. He also counsels Canadian clients with respect to natural resource permitting and compliance with mining and oil & gas regulations. He also has extensive experience in acting for major mining and petroleum companies in negotiating international contracts and special tax regimes and in obtaining financing for the implementation of their projects.
